When an invoice passes its due date, CliLancers emails the client a branded reminder automatically and repeats every 7 days until it's paid — with a payment link in every email. You can switch it off for enterprise clients on special terms. You stop writing 'just following up on that invoice' forever.

Your money goes to your account

CliLancers connects to your own Stripe account (Stripe Connect). Clients pay by card through a checkout attached to every invoice; funds settle directly in your Stripe balance. Refunds keep the processor fee accounted for, and a tamper-evident ledger records every transaction.

Invoices your clients can actually pay

Clients open invoices in the portal through their magic link — no login wall between them and paying you. They can pay on a phone, download a PDF, and see their full billing history in one place.

Frequently asked questions

Can clients pay an invoice in installments?

Yes. Any CliLancers invoice can be split into a payment plan of up to 12 installments, each with its own due date, its own status, and its own Stripe checkout link.

Does CliLancers send late-payment reminders automatically?

Yes. Once an invoice is 7 days past due, CliLancers emails a branded reminder with a payment link and repeats every 7 days until it's paid or cancelled. It can be disabled per organization.

How do deposits work?

You set a deposit amount or percentage on a proposal. When the client accepts and signs, CliLancers automatically creates and sends the deposit invoice, and the contract activates when it's paid.

Whose Stripe account processes the payments?

Yours. CliLancers uses Stripe Connect so clients pay into the freelancer's own Stripe account directly — the platform never holds your funds.

Can invoices bill in different currencies?

Yes. Each client has a default currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD and more), and every invoice snapshots the currency at issue time so history renders correctly forever.
